Match Preview | Summerstown Casuals FC

Barnes Stormers FC seek revenge as they go back on the road this weekend with an away trip against Summerstown Casuals FC.

After a narrow 2-3 loss to Summerstown Casuals FC at home earlier in the season, Barnes are back on the road and looking to come back with a strong win in the league to gain revenge for that home loss, something that manager Tom Jackson stressed, "We're straight back into league action this weekend and I'm looking for a big response from everyone to step up and begin fighting for our promotion apsirations".

The previous league clash saw a total of 5 goals scored, but League 7 top goal scorer Nuno Nunes of Barnes Stormers wasn't among the players to hit the back of the net that day - something he'll no doubt be looking to rectify in Sunday's clash for free scoring Barnes. With 9 goals in the league already this season, Nuno is one proving himself to be far more clinical this season and a real asset to the Barnes team, "Nuno has been outstanding so far in the league for us this season with 9 goals in 6 games. His man of the match performances have really helped spur us on this season and I'm hoping his clinical finishing will put us in front on Sunday too" said Jacko.

In order to get those goals though, Nunes will need the same top quality service providing him with chances to convert - something manager Tom Jackson feels his midfield will be able to continue supplying, "We're welcoming back Harry Cooper after a prolonged period on the side lines with a serious ligament injury. He's been back at training with us now and and I'm hoping he'll return to the squad with a really big impact providing plenty of crosses and creating plenty of chances for our forwards".

With injuries and festivities impacting player availability, management duo Tom and Ash have signed an additional player, Khalil Bowerman, who they hope to give a debut to at the weekend - how he adds to the team is yet to be seen but Jacko foresees big things, "Khalil looks very sharp in training linking up with the boys well, now it's time to see him out on the pitch and put it all into a match scenario to get us a winning result!".
