Match Preview | Millwall Romans vs Barnes Stormers FC

This week Barnes Stormers FC are taking to the road with a scheduled friendly in East London against Millwall Romans FC.

In this this first ever clash between the clubs, manager Tom Jackson is keen to see his side improve on last week's mistakes, "Obviously we had a tough game last week, but the boys were looking good in training. We worked on a couple of specific things to try and improve on the weaknesses that Norwood exploited and we are looking to put it all into practise this weekend".

An afternoon kick-off in East London has contributed to a slighty different look squad to last week, in addition to a number of players returning from inury, "Unfortunately the KO time and location didn't suit all the lads so we do miss a couple through that but on the flip side, I'm really pleased to be able to welcome Rhys Williams, Paul Burke, George Fry and Lleyton Dulake back into the squad. Some real talented players and no doubt they'll be eager to use this game to prove why they should be picked for the final group stage cup game in a weeks' time against Junction Elite".

Regardless of who plays, the two teams know very little about each other and it will be interesting to see how the opening stages play out as they test each other. With the promise of a nice 3G pitch, Barnes will hope to get into their stride early and storm through lion's den like a bull in a china shop and come out the other side with a victory.
