Barnes look to kick on from their win in their first pre season game as they host Arantes United.
Arantes were relegated from division 6 last season so will join Barnes in the league below meaning this game should be a good test for Barnes to see where their squad is at.
Manager Tom Jackson looks to kick on from last weeks performance. “We go into week 2 of pre season on the back of a good opening 3-1 win. It was a big performance from the lads involved and there were great signs of promise for the season ahead but still a couple of areas needing improving upon - possession being one.”
Barnes will be without Matas who suffered an injury after a rough challenge in th ore season opener and Jacko wishes a speedy recovery for the creative midfielder. “Matas, who had a very good game, unfortunately suffered a broken ankle and will be out for a while. He will be a huge loss and we are all massively gutted for him, the whole club wish him a very speedy recovery! We move onto the next pre season match, hoping to improve on last week with more goals from our forwards and fingers crossed we'll be in a great position when Matas is back fit and raring to go.”
Barnes will once again look to rotate players and style to find what works for them as the season gets ever closer and tomorrow lads game will show the quality of the Barnes side and where they need to push on.
