Match report | Barnes 2 Syndicate 5

Updated: Apr 12, 2020

Barnes fell short in their second pre season game as a Syndicate ran out 5-2 winners on the day.

Goals from Ash and Jake we’re not enough to help heal a comeback.

Barnes started strong in the first 30 but two quick fire goals for the visitors gave them a cushion to fall on.

It was 3-0 not long after the second half and it looked almost home and dry for the visitors who started the second half how they ended the first.

There was some joy for the Stormers when Ash’s free kick from 25 yards found the back of the net but it was short lived as the visitors scored a fourth.

It was 5 not long later and despite a very well taken chipped goal from shake it ended in defeat in game 2 of pre season.

Manager Tom Jackson reflected on his sides defeat.

”We has spells where we looked very good but also large spells where we didn’t. On another day with more of a selection available we would have done a lot better. Mistakes have cost us but the players did well with the resources that we had today.“
